Following in the footsteps of my grandmother (Nana), and my mom (Aunt Ruth to everyone else), I not only inherited their work ethic and their boundless energy, but their baking skills and love to make people happy through food, specifically desserts! As a first and second grade teacher for 14 years, I would bake with my students once a week – not just for the yumminess of the final product, but as a tool to teach math! Throughout the years, I have taught multiple children’s cooking classes, made desserts for church events, school functions, post-athletic game treats, etc. My favorite is a continuing tradition of providing desserts for Transition House residents once a month for the last 30+ years! After semi-retiring from my job of 48 years in June, SB Seaside Sweets is my way of continuing this love of baking, while also keeping me busy during my retirement phase. I hope you will join us at one of our pop-up events, or contact us to place a special order. Experience for yourself the quality and taste of our home-baked deserts.
